Chester is a 17-year-old girl, the eldest daughter of a family of four living in Nairobi. Her parents are casual labourers and rely on manual jobs to support their family. Chester is in grade 11 at an all-girls high school.

The costs of basic needs, such as food and fuel, have increased dramatically in Ukraine as families deal with the fallout from Russia’s military invasion.
