Job Title: Temporary Finance Clerk
Reports to: Comptroller

Chalice (Canada) is an officially recognized Catholic lay organization that has a mission, a ministry and a service. Our mission is expressed in the simple motto to Serve Christ in the Poor and Serve the Poor in Christ.

Our ministry is to provide the church, as the Body of Christ, opportunity and encouragement to imitate and reveal Christ’s love in supporting those facing the physical, mental and spiritual impact of poverty. We are almost entirely supported by donors and sponsors obtained from presentations made in Catholic churches across Canada.

With the support given us, Chalice globally supports human development programs and capital projects that help alleviate the impact of poverty. The Chalice sponsorship program is the primary means by which we invite and receive donations and is also the central focus in our work with our managing collaborators at sponsor sites.

We start every day in prayer as the foundation of our work and we honour Mary, mother of the church, as our patron saint.

As a registered Canadian Charity, Chalice (Canada), performs our work under the Canada Not–for-Profit Corporations Act.
