Víctor is 17 and in grade ten. He lives with his mother, Mirna, and five siblings. He has been blessed to have a Chalice sponsor through the Don Bosco site.
Víctor is an avid soccer player. He had an accident during practice recently, and severely injured his meniscus and ACL (in his knee).
He will need surgery to heal properly. As it is a risky operation, Víctor has regular outpatient follow-ups with a traumatologist. Víctor is temporarily following his treatment at home, but the operation must be done as soon as possible.
But the surgical materials, such as the screws and meniscus sutures, come at a private cost of $3,249.88 CAD. Mirna, a housecleaner, cannot afford these expenses. His pain makes it difficult for Víctor to go to school. He’s missed many days of classes.
The Don Bosco site has therefore requested to cover these expenses, so that Víctor can start the rehabilitation process and go back to normal, teenage life.
