Photo Friday: Our Top 5 “Beauty Of Nature” Photos!

Welcome to Photo Friday! Each Friday, we share photo collections of our favourite shots from our sponsor sites around the world.

Temperatures are rising, the sun is shining, and it’s a great time to get outside and appreciate the natural beauty God has created. Our Top 5 “Beauty Of Nature” photos show off some of the beautiful landscapes where many of our sponsored children live, and remind us beauty is present in all corners of creation.

#5: Splashing Around

Most years at our Kawambwa site, schools host a celebration and meal before children go home for the holidays.

One year, many children couldn’t go home. So the Sisters rounded up the kids onto a bus for an adventure.

They took them to this beautiful Zambian waterfall and park, where they could splash around and get in a few selfies.

“It has been a wonderful venture, as most of the children have never been to such places in their lives,” said site director Sr. Agnes.

Even in tough situations, it’s still possible for nature to put a smile on our faces.

#4: Fed By Plants

What’s more beautiful (and delicious) than fruit? That feeling when you take the first juicy bite! The lush green foliage in Neema, Tanzania is complemented by the fruit trees planted at four schools in the local area.

Mango, papaya, avocado, and pear saplings grow to give the children a healthy boost. Plus, they add pops of colour to the stunning area.

#3: Animal Friends

Animals can be man’s best friend, and they even help families earn income. Ronjila is a work-from-home mother near our sponsor site in Assam, India. She takes care of the pigs and household while her husband is at work.

The family saved up the money to purchase the pigs after their son Soumit was sponsored. During one of 2020’s COVID-19 lockdowns, they sold the pigs.

They’re setting some of the money aside for the family, and want to purchase more piglets when the lockdown is over.

#2: Peace Like A River

The site of this river near our CMAVIL sponsor site in Pargaguay isn’t only beautiful, but calming. The still water might be God’s way of telling us to slow down and take a breath, away from the stress and worry of our days.

#1: Mountain High

On top of a mountain, it’s easy to feel small – just like this little guy! This beautiful landscape in Bolivia reminds us that often when we’re on the ground, we don’t see the beauty around us. We need to climb up high and make ourselves small to see the vast expanse of God’s creation.
