With Canada Day quickly approaching, we’d like to dedicate this photo collection to all of our incredible Canadian sponsors and supporters across the country. This week, we’re showcasing our top 5 Canadian photos we’ve gathered from our sites. This collection is filled with sponsored children and their families showing their love for Canada!
#5: Sponsor celebration
These adorable kids from our CMAVIL site in Paraguay are lovingly showing their appreciation for their Canadian sponsors. Some sponsors visited the site on a mission trip, and the families weren’t going to let them go back home without giving their thanks in a big way!
#4: Apart, but together
Halyna, our Pochaiv site director in Ukraine smiles behind her mask because she is grateful that her friends in Canada have supported their sponsored children and families throughout these past few difficult months of the pandemic.
#3: Wave your flag
The children at Dada Maisha Chekechea, an early childhood centre in Tanzania, got a special treat when a group of Canadian Mission volunteers arrived to play with them all afternoon. We pray that the maple leaf will always remind them of a joyful day planning with a parachute, planting gardens and making chapatis!

When Martha and Evans from our Kenyan Regional Office came to Canada for our International Forum in 2018, we tried to give them the full Canadian experience. They were excited to try some coffee from our most iconic Canadian coffee shop!
#1: Go, team!
One of the highlights of Mission Trips is getting to meet your sponsored children, or those of your friends, family, or parishioners. And of course, one of the best parts of visits is the chance to give your child and their families a small gift for a keepsake. In Paraguay, this dad is proud to show off his new t-shirt featuring his new favourite baseball team!
